Pat Feghali is the owner of a solo law practice in Over the Rhine, and loves working with small businesses and entrepreneurs. Her practice deals with many aspects of life for a small business owner, including business formations, contracts, and even estate planning. Prior to starting her own firm Pat was a staff attorney with the Ohio Justice and Policy Center, where she helped people with criminal records sort through the legal system. She is also a great lover of cities, and holds a masters degree in Community Planning from DAAP. In her spare time Pat plays guitar and sings in a rock and roll band, co-hosts the local radio show Queen City Awesome, and explores the many sights and activities that Cincinnati has to offer. Her main goal as a lawyer is to make the legal process as painless as possible while still giving her clients the protection and services that they need.

Mike Hurst is Of Counsel at Keating Muething & Klekamp PLL. Mike’s practice is concentrated in the area of non-patent intellectual property law. He has extensive experience in trademark prosecution, protection and portfolio management, copyright matters, domain names, brand management counseling, social media and Web 2.0 issues, as well as intellectual property licensing, both in the U.S. and internationally. Prior to joining KMK, Mike served as Corporate Counsel-IP at Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, Illinois. He serves as co-leader of the firm’s multi-disciplinary Evolving Media & Technology Team, is active in the International Trademark Association, and is a somewhat regular contributor to the firm’s Cutting Edge of IP blog. He also sits on the Board of Trustees for ArtWorks.

Matt Loftus is a Senior Counsel at The Procter & Gamble Company, where he deals in primarily acquisitions & divestitures. Prior to joining P&G, Matt was a partner at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP where he concentrated his practice on corporate transactional work, with an emphasis on assisting entrepreneurs in all aspects of forming and growing their business. Matt continues to work with entrepeneurs in his spare time, as that will always be in his blood. Entrepreneurs are the life blood of a vibrant economy and it is a joy to work with passionate and creative individuals. To provide even a minor piece of assistance in helping their dreams become a real business is as satisfying as anything can get in the legal profession.

Rob McDonald is an attorney focused on corporate, securities, and sports law work. He assists both private and public company clients with a variety of corporate and securities related matters, including mergers and acquisitions and offerings of securities. Rob also assists start-up and emerging companies through business formation, early-stage investments, and other issues that face entrepreneurial businesses. Emma Scharfenberger Off
Emma practices in the areas of general corporate law, securities regulations and transactions, emerging companies and financial transactions. Emma has assisted clients with public debt and security offerings, mergers and acquisitions, entity formations and organizations, securities law compliance and regulations issues, corporate governance and other contract issues. Emma is a 2011 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law where she earned her J.D. She also earned a B.A. in political science and philosophy from the University of Kentucky in 2008. Emma currently serves as an appointee to the Ohio Arts Council, as well as a Trustee of ArtWorks. She has completed the ArtsWave Boardway Bound program and is passionate about making art accessible to all. Emma is a Cincinnati native and currently resides in Mt. Lookout with her husband, Warner, and beloved Norwich Terrier, Kipper.

Vance is active in the Angel and Venture communities, has co-founded three companies himself, and serves clients in all aspects of patent prosecution and in the development of comprehensive intellectual property strategies. He has worked in a broad range of technologies including mechanical, medical devices, electrical, telecommunications, materials, software and business methods. Vance manages the IP portfolios of companies ranging from start-ups to large public companies. He was named one of the 2011 “Top 40 Under 40” by the Cincinnati Business Courier and is a board member of the Greater Cincinnati Venture Association.
